The streets were crowded with spectators for the annual Weyburn Summer Parade on Thursday morning, as a prelude to the Weyburn Fair, which began later in the day with a midway and rodeo. There were many floats from organizations and businesses, as well as the City of Weyburn and groups like the Weyburn Ag Society and Humane Society.

The 81st 4-H Interclub Fed Calf, Sheep and Goat sale was held on Wednesday afternoon to wrap up Weyburn's Regional 4-H Show, which began on July 2 with the Light Horse Show. There were 111 fed calves on the auction block, as well as five market lambs and one market goat. The sale began with the Grand Champion steer, sold by Rylan Fladeland of the Radville Beef Club, and the Reserve Champion by Sadie Davidson, who also had the Best Homegrown Steer.

A full day of Canada Day activities were hosted in Assiniboia. Events included a pancake breakfast, car show, demo derby, and much more!

A secondary light show lit up skies in the Weyburn region, as a thunderstorm rolled through the area, with some of the lightning visible to watchers of the City of Weyburn's Canada Day fireworks show on Saturday evening.

The City of Weyburn held their annual Canada Day fireworks show at the end of day on July 1, firing the colourful rockets from the west end of the fair grounds. Thousands of residents packed the fair grounds and the parking lots across the highway by Sims Avenue, to watch the celebration of Canada's birthday.

A variety of activities were offered for families.

Canada Day was celebrated with a bike parade at Nickle Lake Regional Park on Saturday morning, with bright red-and-white decorations on the bikes. Children were able to take part in Canada Day crafts later, and an open-air market was held in the park area near the Beaver's Den. Later in the day, the Souris River Smoke BBQ competition will begin, and live entertainment will be held.

A flag ceremony for Canada Day was celebrated by the City of Weyburn, at the Weyburn Leisure Centre on July 1.

The City of Weyburn hosted Party in the Park on June 29, as part of celebrating Recreation Professionals Week.

A King's Carnival was hosted by the Lighthouse Church in Weyburn on June 25.
