ESTEVAN - A young person has been charged following a recent incident.
The Estevan Police Service said a 16-year-old youth was apprehended for possessing a weapon dangerous for public peace, after a complaint was received that the youth displayed a knife during an incident.
The EPS said nobody was physically injured in the incident. The youth was released with conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
Police are investigating a driving complaint after a vehicle reportedly cut off another motorist, causing that vehicle to slide into a snow bank.
A traffic enforcement initiative was conducted by the EPS on Thursday that focused on seat belt infractions and intersection violations. A total of six tickets were served, including four for red lights, one for a seat belt and one for speeding. Warnings were also issued. Attention was also given to school zones and school bus-related infractions. None of these violations were observed.
