As much as I love singing, "Silent Night", I'm questioning how much silence there really was.

Musings at the manger

This week I had the joy of playing Christmas music at our local museum. Following the sing-song we shared nostalgic memories of childhood traditions. We laughed, fought a few tears and generally felt enriched in recalling those long-ago celebrations.

Oscar Wild's story "The Happy Prince", describes a prince who lived a very secluded life. When he died, the people erected a statue of him covered with gold leaves, with two sapphires for eyes and a red ruby on the handle of the sword.
