The wind blew wild yesterday. Normally unrestricted views of Vancouver Island were blocked by a curtain of rain, fog and water as wind speeds, edging closer than I'd like to hurricane force, shook the house.

A Weyburn attraction of national appeal is the former church of preacher / politician Tommy Douglas. The Calvary Baptist Church was built in Weyburn in 1906 by volunteers and moved to its present location on Â鶹´«Ã½AV Hill in 1985, opening in 1991.
