The Estevan Elecs football team won their first ever football game today in Swift Current. The Elecs downed the Colts 11-6 in their quarter-final playoff match.

The students of Hillcrest School had a chance to show off their talent and help raise money for a great cause.

The University of Regina was in town to take on the University of Toronto October 14, the event was a great success with many spectators there to take in the game.

The ECS Art 20/30 students have completed another mural outside of the Sarcan building, after many days of strenuous work and effort the mural is complete.

There are early indications that Estevan is heading directly into another banner year of economic and population growth.

Local football musings

The Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins went 1-1 over a pair of home games this past weekend.

What an underwhelming week for Canada.

Although three schools in the 麻豆传媒AV East Cornerstone School Division could have been subjected to a review process this year, none will be. A review puts a school on notice that it can be subject to a motion for closure the following year.

The bar was set high for the 2010 edition of the United Way telethon. Their goal - $300,000 - was the highest in the organization's history. To make things a little more interesting they had one hour less than normal to reach it.
