SASKATOON - A man was arrested following a break and enter in which a firearm was stolen in Saskatoon.
At around 6 p.m. on Dec. 10, police were called to the 1600 block of Argyle Avenue for a report of a break and enter. When they arrived, officers determined that a firearm had been stolen from the home, and identified a person of interest in the investigation.
Later that night, at around 9:15 p.m., police responded to a report that the person of interest in the earlier break and enter was armed with a firearm in the 1400 block of 22nd Street West. The man was arrested without incident upon police arrival and after searching him, police located the stolen firearm, a large knife, methamphetamine, and miscellaneous property believed to have been stolen during the break and enter.
As a result, the 35-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with break and enter, possession of a controlled substance, and several weapons-related offences. He was also found to be in violation of court-imposed conditions.
