Dear Editor I applaud Richard Hiebert for his zealous advocacy towards the creation of a dynamic senior's activity centre.

Short, tall, skinny, obese. Dark, blonde, red, brown. Short hair, long hair, thick, thin, balding, or completely bald. Harsh, gentle, miserable, happy, quiet, loud boisterous, shy, funny, serious. Loving, unloving, generous, miserly.

"Look what the wind has blown in!" It is just me, wondering how you are doing. I suppose you have planted your flowers and, if you are energetic, a garden. With the winds we have had lately we have to be careful they don't blow away.

Ed, my neighbour next door, heard we were at one of the seven ceremonies for this year's spring convocation for the University of Saskatchewan.

I recently had the chance to chat with and listen to a seminar delivered by Dean Nicholson around substance use and sexual abuse. Nicholson is the administrator of East Kootenay Addiction Services in Cranbrook, B.C.

Health is defined as freedom from sickness and disease. The World Health Organization defines health as physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease.

Here comes summer and the open road lies ahead. I travel throughout the year, but the months of June, July and August are my favourite. I want to go where I've never been, where I've heard rave reviews and most of all, where I feel welcome.
