It was an intense game between the Humboldt Broncos and the Melfort Mustangs on November 26 at the Elgar Peterson Arena. The Broncos got an early lead with Spencer Braaten getting the first goal of the night just 59 seconds in.

November proved to be a busy month for the Battlefords North Stars, as they played 15 games and tried to put the slow start to the season behind them.

Maidstone High School embraced provincial volleyball with matching t-shirts and prairie hospitality Nov. 26 and 27, as senior boys' 3A teams from as far away as Redvers, 718 kilometres away, competed for medals and the glory.

The St. Walburg Eagles perch atop the North Saskatchewan River Hockey League after two more wins on the weekend and a 4-1-0 record. The Eagles were at home to Spiritwood Friday and pulled out an 8-3 win.

The Battlefords AAA Sharks took a depleted roster to Saskatoon to take on the Stars Saturday.

The Canadian Junior Hockey League's prospects game has become an annual tradition for hockey fans and scouts for six years. Last week, it was announced two Battlefords North Stars will be part of that tradition.
