Saturday night was a showcase of talent from throughout the Battlefords and area at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts. It was Battlefords Shines, the fundraiser event to raise money for the Dekker Centre.

Award-winning singer-songwriter-pianist Jeffery Straker, who is no stranger to North Battleford, once again thrilled a local audience. This time, it was a performance of his Saskatchewan tour titled 鈥淎 Very Prairie Christmas.

Submissions are being accepted for the 2020 Hazee Award youth art competition. The competition is open to youth between ages 11 and 20 who reside within a 100 km radius of North Battleford.

On Friday, Nov. 15, Ezit鈥檚 Art School of Battleford had their fifth exhibition after the 10-week fall course, with 57 artists participating. It was held at the Lions Club in Battleford.
