Thanksgiving is behind us already so that means Halloween is only a few weeks away. How did that happen so fast? As residents, we were rallied to vote for our entries in Hockeyville, the TSN Hometown Tour and Riderville.

Living Sky School Division has unveiled individual school videos from 24 schools as part of the division's ongoing communication. The videos are a virtual way for the division to share information about the schools.

When I have talked to others who write for newspapers, I often hear the comments that sometimes there isn't much going on to report on. At times, these remarks come from news people who live in communities the size of North Battleford.

Arlee Lumgair recently enjoyed a week's holiday with her brother, Jim Doolittle and his wife Delores and her sisters Gail Morgan and Dorothy Kivimaa. Travelling by motor home they arrived in Minot, N.D. Sept. 27.

Although high winds have blown many of the leaves off the trees, the fall colours are still there making it a beautiful weekend to be outdoors and to travel.

Starting Oct. 19 an exhibition in the main salon of the Chapel Gallery will be Only Human by Iris Hauser. Hauser is one of Saskatchewan's most prolific artists and exhibits her work in solo and group exhibitions across the country.

The school's annual Terry Fox Walk was held Sept. 28. It was a lovely fall day for a walk. The total raised for cancer research was $761.00. The staff supplied bottled water for all the participants.

A busy summer has come and gone with many residents travelling to other places. Some stayed home and welcomed family and friends. Now, we are appreciating fall with its lovely green and gold colours in the landscape.
