Although we have only recently kicked off another great year at Maidstone High School, we have already had many exciting events. It has been a busy first month and a great start to the 2011-12 school year.

Hi there! What a beautiful September we've had. The brilliant colours of gold and orange over the river alley and the city are just breathtaking. We do hope October will be nice as well. We've had a busy month at Tower II. Sept.

More than 100 artistic activities took place all over the province this past weekend for Culture Days (a nationwide event that celebrates the arts), but only two were focused on pottery. One such event, entitled Play with Clay, occurred in Mervin.

Each year Education Week is celebrated at schools throughout Saskatchewan. Oct. 17 to 21, schools in Living Sky School Division will be celebrating with learning and social activities.

After a mostly rainy spring the Reigning Riders Light Horse 4-H club were considering changing their names to the "Raining Riders." It was tough.

The Neilburg seniors are back to holding their regular monthly games days. The October event was held Oct. 3. Edith Christensen and Mary Svajlenko teamed up to win the A side of the shuffleboard tournament.

Steven Heidel, grandson of Charlotte Gillatt of Maymont and of Robert (Bob) and Joyce Heidel from rural North Battleford, can count himself among the best in the world.

After their last three games of football in other towns, John Paul II Collegiate's football team had their homecoming game.
