Stimulating workshops at Chapel Gallery

The Chapel Gallery has a number of activities for you to enjoy this fall.

Join Doreen Kalmakoff for Enhancing Photographic Reference. This workshop is Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.and registration is $60. Experience a multi-media approach to help improve portraiture painting skills. Participants should bring their own watercolours and brushes to the class. Workshop fee includes all other materials.

Enjoy a lunch hour of stimulating visual information from current contemporary artists Yinka Shonibare MBE, Cindy Sherman and Paul McCarthy. Bring lunch, enjoy a cup of coffee with the curator and others and explore artistic interpretations. This seminar takes place Tuesday, Oct. 25 noon to 1:30 p.m. This session is free.

Iris Hauser presents a composition workshop Sunday, Nov. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration fee is $50. This workshop will concentrate on the use of colour and how it can be used to shift and control movement and balance in a composition. Participants are asked to bring materials that you normally use, to the workshop.
