HUMBOLDT – The Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan has announced Megan Christianson as the candidate for the Watrous-Humboldt constituency.
Megan Christianson along with her husband Troy have one son, Caspian. Christianson is a social worker. She currently owns and operates a private counselling business in St. Brieux.
She is from the Nipawin area and comes from a farming background. Following her university education, she lived and worked in La Ronge for seven years, employed with Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Northern Lights School Division.
Christianson says she has travelled throughout much of the province and networked with amazing people. Before moving back south, she sat as chairperson of a daycare board.
Christianson said as the pandemic hit her family, it changed her perspective. “Always interested in writing, research and policy, this time changed my life, as I questioned the situation around us. I resigned from my job to pursue opening my business, completing grad school, and taking on homeschooling. This is when I began to make connections around politics and my faith in Christ.”
Christianson said she is running for the Buffalo Party because it is the only party willing to stand up to corruption and bring back the Saskatchewan values we have lost. “I stand for everyone but especially wish to represent families, farmers, and small business owners.”
