Stabbing only major holiday incident
"All is calm" was not just a song lyric in Humboldt this Christmas, it was an actual fact. Crime seemed to take a vacation in the latter part of December. There was only one major incident reported by Humboldt RCMP over the holiday season.

Conrad Plemel
After a long and rewarding life, Conrad Leonard Plemel, formerly of St. Gregor, died at Saskatoon City Hospital in the early hours of New Year's Day, 2012, getting his wish for a "peek" at his 100th year. He was 99 years old.

Humboldt closes 2011 with wins over Klippers, Stars
They got a new goalie, and won their last two games of 2011. The Humboldt Broncos travelled to Kindersley on December 20 to take on the Klippers. With new goalie Colin Dzijacky in net, the Broncos stomped the Klippers 3-2.
