Concert planned to bid theatre good-bye

It's time to say good-bye, not with sadness, but with joy. A "Farewell Tribute to Sutherland Theatre" concert is being planned for January 22 as a way to celebrate the theatre that has been such a large part of the community for the past 40 years.

They had a great time in the tropics. The Humboldt Basketball Club, consisting of nine girls from Humboldt and one from Outlook, were in Hawaii from December 27 to January 4 to play basketball in a 10-team tournament.

The face of a growing multicultural community in and around Humboldt has stimulated a new cultural venture for 2012. "Evenings of Cultural Mosaic" is a 10-week program at the Reid-Thompson Public Library that started January 9.
