Police say an individual came into a business with a female, then held a knife to her back and got into a cab, fleeing the scene.

With the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP police service dog, officers located and seized approximately one kilogram of cocaine a vehicle.

On Feb. 10 he was sentenced at the Court of King's Bench in Battleford after being聽found guilty on all eight charges.

The death is not believed to be suspicious and next of kin notifications have been completed; police will not be releasing the deceased鈥檚 name.

On April 26, 2023, during the course of SIRT's investigation, the involved individual, a 40-year-old man, passed away in hospital.聽
