SASKATOON - One man has been arrested following a hit and run involving a pedestrian last night.
At around 8:45 p.m. on March 19, police were called to the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a report of a pedestrian that had been hit by a vehicle in a parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an altercation had taken place between parties known to one another before one of the involved parties sped away in a vehicle, striking the other involved party while doing so; the victim was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West for treatment of what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Continued investigation led police to an address in the 100 block of Hedley Street where they effected the arrest of a 28-year-old Saskatoon man.
As a result, he has been charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
