Peewee Pats become league champions
The Preeceville Peewee Pats were crowned the Major Hockey League champions when they won the A banner on March 17. The A-banner game was played against Canora with Preeceville defeating Canora in both games played.

The Preeceville Midget Pats hockey team faced a third game against Esterhazy that decided the B side champions of the Major Hockey league. The final and deciding game was hosted in Preeceville in front of a packed arena on March 20.

The curling season concluded in Sturgis with the Matt's and Home Hardware bonspiel from March 7 to 13. There were a total of 17 teams entered with the Brian Peterson rink taking first place.
