The Yorkton Harvest made a stop in the Battlefords in their five-game road trip over the weekend and looked to stay on a winning track following a convincing victory at Notre Dame a week-and-a-half ago.

It was a huge road week for the Yorkton Terriers who won three while away from the friendly confines on their home arena.

The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) Saints probably had so much fun winning two weekends ago against Melville in their first home playoff game in some 25 years, they decided they'd do it again.

The YRHS survived an eight-team round robin and went on to defeat the Kincaid Kougars in the finals to capture Sacred Heart's Senior Boys' volleyball tournament over the weekend.

The only thing better than one is two. That's what the Saints of Sacred Heart got at the East Central Districts junior girls' volleyball tournament this past weekend. For the second year in a row, the Saints were perfect at this tournament.

The Sacred Heart senior girls' volleyball team competed in a 13-team tournament in Weyburn this past weekend. The Lady Saints began the tournament defeating Meadow Lake in two straight 25-17 and 25-16.

In the lone hockey game played in Yorkton over the weekend, the Yorkton Terrier AA Bantam hockey team played Regina at the Kinsmen Arena on Friday. Head coach Damon Kustra was not happy the way his team played.

The Yorkton Terriers played a pair of road games last week, returning home with a split in the two games. The split left the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League franchise with a record of 8-5-1-2 and 19 points best in the Sherwood Conference.

The 2A girls soccer Regionals were held Saturday Oct 23, 2010 at Sacred Heart High school. Four teams took part in the tournament for a chance to advance to next weekend's provincial tournament in Humboldt.

Over 30 volleyball games took place over the weekend as the Sacred Heart High School senior girls volleyball tournament saw six schools make the trip to Yorkton for two days of action.
