The gymnasium at Sacred Heart High School was filled for two days over the weekend as gymnasts from all over Saskatchewan took part in the Yorkton Springer's Gymnastics Invitational Meet.

Anyone keeping track of the year-to-year happenings of the Junior 'A' Yorkton Terriers hockey club had a pretty good idea of all that could have taken place this past Sunday evening.

The Yorkton Regional High School will be hosting a senior badminton playoff tonight in their gym. Both high school seniors will be playing. Game times are 4 p.m.

The last game of the volleyball tournament was supposed to be a really close match between what was supposed to be the two best teams that competed that weekend. Turns out that it wasn't even close.

When the University of New Brunswick (UNB) won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) University Cup March 27, a familiar face to local hockey fans was among those celebrating the 4-0 win over McGill University.

Three days this week, the Gallagher Centre is the host of the Standards Track Meet, put on by the Good Spirit School Division. Students compete against themselves from 9:30-2 p.m., each day of the meet, said GSSD employee Jason Trost.

The 2011 Regionals of Saskatchewan High Schools Athletics Association basketball got off to a good start for the Yorkton Regional Raiders senior boys team last weekend. They beat Prince Albert Carlton in their opening game, 48-47.
