The Yorkton Yankees improved their record to 13-0-1 after capturing three wins last week. They topped the Yorkton Orioles 8-2 on Tuesday, July 2, the Canora Supers 13-0 on Thursday, and the Russell Bulls 8-4 the following day.

Track club at championship event
Yorkton Legion Track Club athletes attended the 2013 Saskatchewan Track & Field Championships and Western Canadian tryouts that were held in Regina at the Canada Games Complex on June 15-16. They had 22 athletes from the Yorkton area attend.

Yorkton United Chelsea U12 boys grabbed two important wins on Sunday at Parkland Mall Field against Regina's Boca Juniors and Regina's AC Pumas. The game against the Boca Juniors saw Yorkton coming out powerfully with a decisive 13-1 victory.

Bulldogs split pair of home games
