Canora to Yorkton relay brings donations

The trip from Canora to Yorkton became a four-hour relay for one group of runners on Thursday, May 13th. A six-person team shared the 50 km run as part of Royal Ford's efforts to raise $10,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Amendments will benefit the labour market

Changes were announced today to The Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Regulations, 2003 which will allow employers to hire additional employees to meet the needs of the growing economy and labour market.

City changes insurance broker for next seven years

The City of Yorkton is changing its insurance broker after a decision by Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday. The City had been using Independent Agencies since July 2003, when it was transferred to Farrell Agencies Ltd.

Yorkton Council declared Tourism Awareness Week for the week of Jun 6-12 at its regular meeting Monday. The request for the designation was made by Tourism Yorkton president Neil Thom.
