As the province enters step 3 of Saskatchewan鈥檚 Re鈥怬pening Roadmap on July 11 by removing all remaining public health restrictions including masking, the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) will keep most safety precautions in place in its facilities and programs.聽聽
"For at least four weeks after July 11 we will still have precautions in place to reduce the risk of variants of concern to those that may still be vulnerable," SIGN Executive Director Andrew Sedley said.聽聽
"Masking, screening and the use of personal protective equipment will remain in place for the time being. SIGN will work with our Saskatchewan Health Authority partners, reassessing and readjusting to ensure the health and safety of all."
He points out that SIGN staff work with many families with young children who have not been vaccinated, so staff will continue to wear masks at all times when meeting with clients.
As well, anyone riding in a SIGN vehicle, including Senior Transportation, will be asked to wear a mask.聽聽
Staff will also continue to wear visors/eye protection when working in an environment where someone is not wearing a mask
