The Second Annual Sandy Beach Disc Golf Tournament was held on July 30 with a great turnout of athletes of all ages. 鈥淚f we had put in an order for the weather it couldn鈥檛 have been better,鈥� said Kelly Butz, the Sandy Beach resort operator.

The KamKids Daycare in Kamsack has $1,000 to use to purchase children鈥檚 furniture, thanks to a donation from Affinity Credit Union鈥檚 Community Development Fund.

On behalf of Affinity Credit Union鈥檚 Community Development Fund, Audrey Horkoff of Kamsack, the vice-president of Affinity Credit Union, presented a cheque of $5,000 recently for the Veregin Save the Hall Fund.

A Kamsack woman celebrated her 100 th birthday at a reception at Eaglestone Lodge on Saturday. Hilda McLean, who was born in Kamsack on August 6, 1916, celebrated her birthday at the Lodge with family and friends.

A painter recently tried to bring joy to patients in the Canora area by providing artwork to the Canora Mental Health and Wellness Centre.

鈥淚t鈥檚 good to see that Kamsack鈥檚 becoming a young town again,鈥� said a former resident who co-ordinated a slo-pitch fundraising event to raise money for a 10-year reunion.
