The staff and students of Dinsmore Composite School woke up with a singular goal on Tuesday, February 14; skate, skate and then skate some more until your feet can't take it no more.
The K-12 teachers and student body held a Skate-a-Thon on Valentine's Day in order to raise money for Telemiracle. Taking to the ice of the Dinsmore Arena, everyone strapped on their blades and went about twirling and zooming around in support of the annual Saskatchewan telethon event.
By the time the Skate-a-Thon had come to an end, the dollar amount raised was an impressive $2527.90. On top of that, the Dinsmore Kinsmen Club held a hotdog & steak lunch as part of their own fundraiser for Telemiracle, feeding over 200 people and raising a total of $1468.00. The grand total, combining the skating event and the lunch was $3995.90, which will be added to other fundraising events to be held in Dinsmore in the time leading up to Telemiracle before all of it is donated to the event.
Staff and students of Dinsmore Composite School, as well as the Kinsmen Club thank everyone for their support of this fundraiser and other efforts.
