It took 8 innings to determine an 11U AA Tier 3 Baseball Sask. provincial champion featuring the Macklin Lakers winning gold over familiar rivals, the Unity Cardinals who earned silver.

The 15U Unity Cardinals gave fans an exciting weekend of ball as they contended for a provincial title on home diamonds July 14-16, losing only the final game to earn silver.

The Weyburn Silver Seals swimming club hosted several swimming clubs from around Saskatchewan for a swim meet at the Weyburn Leisure Centre on Saturday. There were many volunteers on hand to help with the race timing and man the raffle tables and barbecue, as heats and finals were held for all age levels in all styles of speed swimming.
