St. Michael students do Terry Fox School Run for cancer research

The entire student body of St. Michael School came out on Friday afternoon to Jubilee Park to do the Terry Fox School Run, raising funds for cancer research. Each student wore a patch that said who they were walking or running for, in commemoration of the run started by the late Terry Fox in 1980, running across Canada until cancer forced him to stop near Thunder Bay, Ont., and it took his life.

Some of those gathered had a petition for people to sign, and others had signs such as "Protect Parental Rights" and "Let Kids be Kids".
