This photo gallery shows some of the action in the rodeo arena at the Weyburn exhibition grounds on Thursday evening for the Souris River Rodeo, sanctioned by the Canadian Cowboys Association. Friday saw slack events in the morning, and the second full night of competition in the evening, with events including bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, break-away roping, barrel-racing and steer wrestling.

Weyburn's Regional 4-H Show ends with fed calf, sheep and goat sale

The 81st 4-H Interclub Fed Calf, Sheep and Goat sale was held on Wednesday afternoon to wrap up Weyburn's Regional 4-H Show, which began on July 2 with the Light Horse Show. There were 111 fed calves on the auction block, as well as five market lambs and one market goat. The sale began with the Grand Champion steer, sold by Rylan Fladeland of the Radville Beef Club, and the Reserve Champion by Sadie Davidson, who also had the Best Homegrown Steer.
