Carlyle is preparing for the upcoming Senior A Baseball Provincial Championship to be held on the weekend of Aug. 5 to 7.

Ben Johnstone, son of Larry and Deb of Carlyle, has been signed to the Estevan Bruins. Born in 1993, Johnstone who plays centre and right wing has been playing hockey for the past 15 years.

The Estevan Bruins have been sending a handful of players to the Northern Connecticut Wings' summer hockey program over the last few years.
