Bantam Cougars advance to round 2 in SHA

The Bantam Cougars began their series of provincial playoffs against the Balgonie Prairie Storm. The team traveled to Balgonie for Game #1 on January.30th. The Cougars have joined up with five players from Carnduff for our provincial team.

Rider Pride Hockey Challenge this Sunday

The Weyburn Rider Nation Touchdown Luncheon and the Rider Pride Hockey Challenge is happening on Sunday, February 13. This event is being hosted by Weyburn Rider Nation in support of Weyburn Minor Football.

On February 5th, a few girls from the Carlyle Figure Skating attended the Weyburn Competition. There were over 250 skaters in this competition coming from all over Saskatchewan.

Second silver of season for soccer team

Weyburn's under-10 girls Mini Red Devils traveled to Regina to compete in the AC Winterfest Indoor Soccer Tournament from January 28 to 30. Friday afternoon the team faced the AC Tigers, winning 3-1.

For the past 2 weekends, the Pee Wee Cougars have sure been grateful to Roger Faford and Deb Chalus who have both served as guest Zamboni drivers during Pee Wee games. The kids of Carlyle are sure lucky to have people like Roger and Deb helping out.

Local riders at Sno-Cross Races

The Souris River Snowmobile Club hosted the UCMA Sno-Cross Races on February 5 and 6, west of the Exhibition Grounds. Although riders from across the country entered the race, these results represent riders from the Weyburn area.
