The Wings hosted the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday night, and doubled up to win by a score of 6-3, then lost 3-0 in Humboldt to the Broncos on Saturday evening.

In the final home game of the calendar year, Jackson Hassman opened the scoring in the first period for the Red Wings, with assists by Ryley Morgan and Ty Mason.

The Hounds tied the game halfway through the period, and Weyburn’s Max Monette restored the lead near the end of the period, with assists from Matthew Reidy and Simon Pollock.

The Red Wings are now off until the weekend of Jan. 6 and 7, when they play the home-and-home series against the Estevan Bruins, starting in Estevan, and then hosting the Bruins on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.
