Police respond to several vehicle accidents

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of February 14 to 20: *On February 19, police attended an accident on First Avenue NW. The driver of an eastbound vehicle was fatigued and crossed into the opposing lane of traffic.

Crews fight three fires Feb. 22

Report from the Weyburn Fire Department for the week of February 15 to 22: *On February 22, fire crews attended a structure fire at the Royal Bank on Third Street. The call came in at 10:16 p.m. and crews had the fire under control by 10:51 p.m.

New grief support group in Weyburn

A new grief support group will be forming in Weyburn this March. The group is based on a six-week program from the Greystone Bereavement Center in Regina.

World Day of Prayer in Weyburn March 4

The people of Weyburn will join with the people of Chile to pray on March 4, World Day of Prayer. The local World Day of Prayer service will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 10 a.m.and everyone is invited to this ecumenical service.
