WEYBURN – The Weyburn Comprehensive School held their 61st annual awards night on Monday evening in the Cugnet Centre, and recognized the top academic achievements of the Grade 12 class, along with handing out scholarships and bursaries.
For the top marks in the class, the Douglas Award for boys and girls was calculated down to the 1000ths of a percentage, with very close scores between the runners-up and the winners of the awards.
For the female Douglas award, the runner-up was Kimberly Balayar with an average of 97.857 per cent, and the winner was Erika Sinn, with an average of 98.143 per cent.
For the male Douglas award, the runner-up was Dalton Molnar with an average of 96.857 per cent, and the winners were a tie between Owen Burdan and George Hoffman with an average of 97.571 per cent.
