WEYBURN – After a weekend of hard work, the Weyburn Comp musical, The Wedding Singer, has been cleared to go ahead for performances on the Cugnet Centre stage, said director Brayden Jensen on Wednesday morning.
The performances had been briefly postponed due to water damages on the stage.
He said, “The SECPSD maintenance staff cleared us to use our stage after lots of work over the weekend by various contractors in town, and the SECPSD facilities staff.”
The cast ran dress rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and will open on Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m.
“We will be able to squeeze in four shows: Friday, May 26; Sunday, May 28 at 2 p.m.; Monday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 31, both at 7 p.m.
For anyone who purchased tickets for the cancelled shows this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), their tickets will be valid for any of the four shows.
