Progress has been slow on the gym floor, workers have prepared the subfloor and the hardwood has been stacked in the gym to dry to the required humidity levels. (6% if you are wondering) Sadly, the weather has not been cooperating... and so we wait... and wait ... and wait. If the sun continues to shine construction will resume this week.
The Spirit week that was put on by the SRC this past week was a great success. Thanks to everyone who participated and showed their school pride.
We have many things coming up with SRC in the next months. First of all, Tuesday September 12th we will be starting a Milk and Muffin program where the students can buy a milk and muffin for $2.00. On Friday October 1st we will be having our first Casual Friday where the students can purchase a hat pass allowing them the privilege of wearing a hat that day. Casual Friday will be the last Friday of every month (or closest to that date). The next one will be Friday October 29th. On Thursday October 7th there will be a pizza day. Order forms will be going home with students this week so that students' kindergarten- 6 can pre order. Other students can get their pizza that day. October 29th will also have a variety of seasonal activities. Keep an eye open closer to the date for more information!
A reminder for parents, students and staff; Stoughton Central School is a peanut free and scent free facility. Some people have severe allergic reactions to either peanuts or the perfumes used in deodorants and products. Please respect the health of others and use unscented products and do not bring foods with peanuts to school.
