REGINA — As the health authority prepares to condense its immunization clinic locations across the province, the city of Regina has launched a new initiative to continue encouraging residents to go out and get vaccinated.
A series of pop-up clinics around Regina will be giving those who attend for their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine a free ticket to the Queen City Ex, which begins on Aug. 20.
The clinics are walk-in only, operating on a first-come first-serve basis and will be handing out one exhibition pass per vaccination to the first 5,000 people to attend, redeemable for any one date of the Ex.
The incentive is a partnership between the city, the SHA and the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL), as an “added bonus for those who Stick It to ‘COVID.’”
Quantities of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be on site at the clinics, confirmed the SHA, and those interested in attending for their dose need a valid health care card and photo ID.
The clinics with free passes began today, focusing on outdoor pool locations, and will return at Regent Outdoor Pool from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Buffalo Meadows Pool from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.
More dates and locations are expected to be announced in the future, according to the city of Regina website.
