"I was in complete and utter disbelief,” he said. “It was quite a morning!”
The winner said he was in such shock that he needed to check his ticket four more times on the Lotto Spot! app before it started to sink in.
“I’ve only ever won $20 or a Free Play so this was tough to wrap my head around,” he said.
The Regina resident said he will put his windfall toward his mortgage and will put whatever is left over into savings.
Johnson purchased his winning Lotto Max ticket at Sherwood Co-op Grasslands, located at 4705 Gordon Road in Regina.
Johnson won his $333,333.40 prize by exactly matching a Maxmillions draw on the Sept. 28 draw and shared his win with two other ticketholders, one from Ontario and the other from Quebec.
