ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service were kept busy over the Family Day long weekend with 54 calls for service.
A total of 25 tickets were issued under the Traffic Safety Act.
Police attended to seven calls that were reported to be domestic disputes. No physical altercations were reported and members were able to resolve all matters. No charges were laid. The Police and Crisis Team will follow up with these files and provide ongoing support and assistance.
Officers were dispatched to a local convenience store for a report of a possible person in distress in a motor vehicle. Further investigation resulted in an impaired by drug investigation. No further details were released.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a male in the industrial area of the city. A mandatory approved screening device demand was made, and the driver provided a sample of breath resulting in a 72-hour suspension and a vehicle impound.
Members were dispatched to an elementary school for a report of children on the roof. Three youths were located and spoken to. No further action was required.
Police received a report of a hit-and-run accident that occurred at a business parking lot. The matter remains under investigation.
