ESTEVAN — Estevan Police Service members received a request to do a welfare check on an Estevan man on Jan. 17.
Members and the Police and Crisis Team (PACT) attended the residence to check on the individual. He was found to be well.
The same day, the EPS responded to a report of uttering threats. The matter is still under investigation.
Earlier that day, police turned to the public for assistance in locating a missing Estevan youth, who was last seen around 11 p.m. on Jan. 16 at his home in Estevan. Sometime overnight or early morning on Jan. 17, the teenager left the residence with only a few belongings. Police said they didn't have any reason to believe he had come to harm but due to the extreme cold temperatures, wanted like to confirm that the youth was safe. He was located shortly thereafter and was safe and well.
On Jan. 16, police received a report of theft from a local business. The matter is still under investigation.
Members also attended to a disturbance in a north-end multi-dwelling property. One of the parties agreed to leave the residence for the evening to resolve the disagreement.
Police arrested a 31-year-old Estevan female Jan. 15 for driving while under a court prohibition not to operate a motor vehicle. She was charged and released for court on a later date.
The same day, police performed several well-being checks on individuals struggling with the cold weather. Police determined individuals were okay and connected them to services in the community.
