UPDATE: Travel not recommended advisories lifted in the southeast

The final travel not recommended warnings have been lifted in the Estevan area.

UPDATE:

ESTEVAN - The last of the travel not recommended advisories have been lifted in southeast Saskatchewan.

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure ended the advisories for the Estevan area early Monday just after 5:30 a.m. Travel had not been recommended around Estevan since early Sunday. The Highway Hotline reports that winter conditions exist in the southeast. 

A portion of Highway 39 in southeast Saskatchewan was shut down on Sunday after a semi-trailer unit jackknifed.  

According to the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline, the incident occurred on Highway 39 in the northbound lane at the junction with Highway 703. 

Both lanes were blocked and motorists were asked to avoid travel in the area.
