SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN – The last weather warning for southern Saskatchewan has been lifted.

Environment Canada lifted the blowing snow advisory Sunday afternoon. It had been in effect for about 11 hours for Regina, Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Kipling, Moosomin and other areas.

A wind warning issued Saturday afternoon for those areas has also come to an end, as has the special weather statement for southern Saskatchewan that came into effect on Friday.

Areas in southern Saskatchewan received rain, freezing rain, snow and strong winds as part of an Alberta clipper that rumbled through the province on the weekend, making travel difficult and forcing some highways to close.
