Colin Craig, prairie director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, indicates with his hand that taxpayers ought to phone MP Ed Komarnicki about the ever-growing federal debt, during a visit with the federation's federal debt clock to Weyburn on Mar. 8. According to government figures, the debt is growing by $1,400 per second, or $124 million a day; the Taxpayers Federation wants voters to be aware of just how high the number is growing, as this calculator is continually adding the new figures at a rate of $1,400 per second. The federation is hoping to make citizens aware of how big the debt as the federal budget comes up on Tuesday, Mar. 22, followed by the provincial budget on Wednesday, Mar. 23.Review photo 3646 – Greg Nikkel
