Curling is the gentler of the Canadian winter sports, but many people would consider hockey as the true Canadian winter sport.

Tribal Sportswear has partnered with Expressions boutique for the debut event of "Heart for Art". The public is welcome to attend the event, which is happening all day on Saturday, February 25 at Expressions on Third Street in Weyburn.

The Weyburn Music Festival will be taking place this March. The piano portion of the festival will be held between March 5 and 10 at the Tommy Douglas Centre.

Beverley Mahood will be appearing at the Weyburn Comprehensive School Cafetorium on March 6 at 7:30 p.m. Mahood hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, but she now calls Canada her home.

If you are a Saskatchewan artist or artisan, not supported solely by the sale of your work, you are eligible to enter your works in "Art Reach", the Weyburn and area Local Art Adjudication.

The Triple C Centre welcomes world-class entertainer and Elvis Presley tribute artist Rory Allen to the Weyburn Comprehensive Cafetorium on February 24 at 7:30 p.m.

A Taste of Congo is a Rotary event taking place on February 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Legion. The evening includes a meal, an African Fashion Show and music from Congo, as well as Reverend Doug Loden's report and pictures of his recent visit to Congo.

Eltje Degenhart talked about the importance of the arts, and supporting the Triple C Centre during the "Art is a Part of the Heart" exhibit at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery on Thursday.
