ASSINIBOIA - The Ballet Jörgen will bring their special “Dance For All” program to the Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre on Thursday, September 29.
Ballet Jörgen has developed a program that can be adapted for a wide range of stage dimensions and specifications. This purpose designed programming is expertly tailored for smaller venues. This new initiative will allow presenters to include an evening of professional ballet within season programming parameters in a cost effective way.
This mixed program will showcase excerpts from major classical ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, the smash hit Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet, along with exciting new contemporary works by Canadian choreographers.
Creation for some of these new works began during COVID lockdowns with the dancers and choreographers working virtually over video calls from their homes, others were created in our dance studios under a variety of COVID regulations.
Local residents will see the creativity, dedication and artistry that has gone into each creation by Ballet Jörgen’s extraordinary artists.
Founded in 1987, Canada’s Ballet Jörgen is a national organization headquartered in Toronto that is focused on making the arts accessible for all Canadians, with a special focus on underserved communities and demographics.
