The annual Red Cross Pink Shirt Day was held on April 1. The campaign is intended to bring awareness to bullying in Saskatchewan and to encourage both awareness and action to this social issue.

An Estevanite will be one of the newest recipients of the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal, with the provincial honour marking its 20th anniversary at a ceremony in April.

One day I arrived at the hospital early and I found my little angel alone in her room. I asked her where her mother was. To this day I cannot recount her response without becoming very emotional.

There's a lot happening around our house this week and emotions are mixed. Our son recently accepted a new out-of-province position that's definitely a step up in his career.

Hazel Schindel has been appointed to the Stoughton Housing Authority Board of Directors. Other members of the board of directors include Virginia Deren, Diena Fisher, Gloria Knous and Peter Piper. Piper is the chairperson.

The Quota International Weyburn Women of the Year awards luncheon was held on March 30 at McKenna Hall. The afternoon began with a catered meal and door prizes.
