This year the Radiothon for Life will take place on May 4, and the preparations for it are well underway.

Estevan military historian Craig Bird was able to resume his tradition of paying tribute to the Battle of Vimy Ridge, and coincidentally, it was a fine time to do it. 

All seven members of council were at the gathering that was held from April 3-6 in Regina. They spent four days listening to speeches from provincial leaders, networking, attending presentations and discussing topics pertinent to communities. 

Saskatchewan entrepreneur Joseph Bourgault, who hails from the St. Brieux area, spoke to supporters at the Beefeater Plaza. He’s well-connected to the Estevan area, as his son-in-law Ryan Olson is from the Estevan area originally and the campaign manager for Bourgault. 

The Emergency Services Response Training class is offered to 22 Grade 10 students at ECS, and now, after two years of delays caused by the pandemic, it incorporates a hands-on approach and engagement with the local first responders.
