CARLYLE — Kingston Midstream, through the Richardson Foundation, recently donated $7,000 to the Carlyle and District Lions Club for renovations to its facilities at Lions Park.
Improvements made during the past year included the installation of a new scoreboard sign and new fencing to the No. 6 ball diamond, along with new dugouts. A portion of these funds were also allocated for the construction of a sound booth at the main ball diamond.
Kingston Midstream says it prides itself on emphasizing priority in maintaining strong relationships with the communities in which they live and operate. The pipeline company has a field office in Carlyle and many of its employees and their families utilize Lions Park.
Lions Park chairman Duncan Brown appreciated the support.
“On behalf of the Lions Club, we sincerely thank Kingston Midstream for their generous donation. Our park has never looked better, the six diamonds are busy, and our food booth is open. Campers have started rolling in and it’s looking like a busy year.”
