CARLYLE - Naomi Twietmeyer was recently hired as branch librarian for the Carlyle Public Library.
She moved from Endeavour to Carlyle in 2010. She was good friends with Michelle Amy, having first attending a Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party in 2007. It was there she met Jesse and they have been married since 2011.
Twietmeyer has given piano and voice lessons since moving to Carlyle and is an active member of the Cornerstone Theatre Group. She was also employed at Carlyle Pharmasave for nine years until the pandemic took hold.
Her husband has been employed at Chimo Building Supplies in Carlyle for over four years. They reside at White Bear Lake and some time ago befriended a stray cat whom they named Jules.
Twietmeyer is the eldest in a large family of 11 and was raised in Montana. In addition to loving nature, water and White Bear Lake, she thoroughly enjoys a steeping hot cup of herbal tea.
She is a voracious reader and as a child pored over dictionaries and encyclopedias. Reading has always been an important part of her life and becoming a librarian is her ultimate dream job.
Despite not having any of her own, Twietmeyer loves children and looks forward to working with them at the library.
