One of Alida’s landmarks went up in smoke on Jan. 8. Lloyd East’s Gold Star Shop burned to the ground, after catching on fire from an incident inside the shop.
Sunday breakfasts are back at Alida Rink and the Breakfast Challenge is on. Jan. 2 had kitchen Group 3 at the helm. They served up 21 breakfasts. Jan. 9 had Group 4 in charge, served up 38 breakfasts. Will Group 1 beat the Challenge next Sunday? Big bouquet to Brenda J and Margaret P for stepping up to be in charge of these Sunday breakfasts in making sure all supplies etc. are on hand and ready to go.
Hope to see you at rink. Just remember all COVID-19 restrictions apply and one must be fully vaccinated or have proof of a negative test.
Here’s to a happy and prosperous 2022. Happy New Year everyone.
