REGINA - Update: The Regina Police Service are advising they have located the dogs believed to be involved in the August incident where a woman was attacked, which resulted in a request for public assistance.
After investigating, police ascertained the location of the dogs believed to be involved in this attack. On Aug. 29, police found the dogs, and seized them. A man was also taken into custody.
It is yet to be determined what charges, if any, will be laid in this investigation, which remains ongoing.
Original post: The Regina Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the owner(s) of two dogs that attacked a woman in Regina.
On Aug. 19 at around 9:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 3rd Avenue and Cameron Street to investigate a dog attack. A woman was walking her dogs when she was chased by two other dogs, and then attacked. The victim of the attack called for help and got the attention of city workers who then called 9-1-1.
EMS responded and attended to the victim’s injuries. Police determined that a man and woman arrived and led the dogs away, but did not return to the victim. An area check by police did not locate the dogs. Camera footage of the suspects can be .
